Join us for the Japanese Film Evenings for 2017!

Japanese films shown at the University of Waikato are usually screened on the second or third Thursday of the month from 7:00 pm and are preceded by a documentary about Japanese culture from 6:30 pm.

All films have English subtitles. Booking is not necessary. Films, dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances so please contact us to confirm details.

We hope that you will enjoy the films and gain a deeper insight into various aspects of Japanese society.

The thrilling conclusion to the blockbuster Rurouni Kenshin live-action trilogy!
Shishio has set sail in his ironclad ship to bring down the Meiji government and return Japan to chaos, carrying Kaoru with him. In order to stop him in time, Kenshin trains with his old master to learn his final technique.
