Circle of Yoga

Slow Sunday yoga is all about resting and restoring.

These weekly rejuvenation sessions are a wonderful addition to your current yoga practice or also suitable for those recovering from an illness. The yoga will be floor based, using supports to help build energy stores in the body, preventing conditions of depletion. This will be used in conjunction with breathing practices.

Don’t be mistaken that this is an easy class, the postures used are sophisticated in helping to restore health. The second half of the class will be a Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep or conscious deep sleep, it is a powerful technique which enables us to learn to relax consciously and deeply - a systematic method for inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

This simple practice helps us to let go of muscular tension and teaches us how to release fears, anxieties and phobias. It’s also a wonderful way to return to a peaceful place, wherever you are on the spectrum of health, illness, restlessness or contentment.
