Hop on your bike with Heritage New Zealand and Spokes Canterbury for a guided tour around Christchurch City. Riding a bike is great way to explore central Christchurch and get up close to some of the city's most precious heritage buildings. Our heritage experts will give the latest information on post-quake restorations of Christchurch's heritage buildings along the way. Ride leaders from Spokes Canterbury will help lead the cycle tours.

We will be running 3 tours, with a limit of 10 places each. One tour will start at 10am, and two afternoon tours will start simultaneously at 2pm. The meeting point is near the Registry building at the Arts Centre and will be signposted on the day. Please arrive early or on time. You will need to meet your guides, register, sign a disclaimer form, and listen to a safety and hazard briefing before the tours start.

Although we have taken all reasonable safety precautions and will carry first aid kits, the organizers accept no responsibility for participants' safety and actions apart from ensuring that all participants are wearing helmets and riding a bicycle in road worthy condition.

The tours are part of the City of Cycles Market Day at the Arts Centre, so attendees need to be aware that parking will be limited and the area busy. We recommend coming on your bike - there will be valet bike parking available.

Please include your email and phone in your ticket registration so we can email you prior if needed, or cancel in case of bad weather.

All attendees must be confident cyclists of reasonable fitness, riding a safe roadworthy bike, and wear a helmet.
