See Pork Pie, the remake of the iconic film Goodbye Pork Pie, on opening night!

Pork Pie will be a nostalgic road trip for those who remember the 1981 movie – one of New Zealand’s most successful early films, with its madcap car trip from one end of the country to the other, which will also appeal to a whole new generation of younger film-goers!

The film features:
James Rolleston, who achieved instant stardom in Boy; Dean O’Gorman (The Almighty Johnsons and Fili the dwarf in The Hobbit); Outrageous Fortune’s Antonia Prebble (also in White Lies); and directed by Matt Murphy, son of Geoff Murphy who directed the original film.

The opening night screening is a special fundraiser for NZ Pacific Studio, the unique residency centre in the Wairarapa that has welcomed about 500 artists & writers from around NZ and around the world. NZPS is a registered charity.
