Pleasure Point is a powerful and exciting group that plays a wide variety of styles, unique arrangements of hard-driving hard bop, infectious Afro-Cuban and salsa rhythms, Latin jazz, originals, straight-ahead swing, soulful blues and beautiful ballads.

Led by Greg Crayford at the drum kit, Pleasure Point has played at numerous national NZ festivals over the last decade as a trio, quartet and sextet.

Steve Abrams is a California-based pianist and composer. He has been a mainstay on the jazz and Afro-Cuban music scene in the San Francisco Bay Area for over twenty years. His groups have performed at many venues, including the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music and the San Jose International Jazz Festival.

Rounding out the quartet is that sultan of swing and Californian native, Bruce Brown, on vocals. Bruce's songs have been described as 'original standards'. He is head of vocals at the esteemed New Zealand School of Music in Wellington. Paul Mouncey holds down the bass chair.
