Did you know human microchipping is happening? The Swedes are doing it, the Dutch have tried it and it’s taking centre stage at our July Play On event (in the play that is, not for realsies).

The play, A Simple Procedure written by Thomas Sainsbury, is a comedic dystopian tale that promotes the idea of microchipping as a way to make life easier – no more rifling around for your Eftpos card or hunting for your passport.

It also means all those pesky terrorists, psychos, criminals, and in fact, anyone undesirable, won't have access to any of our 'public' spaces. But what exactly constitutes undesirable?

Play On is a monthly play reading series of New Zealand work presented by local performers. We operate on a ‘pay-what-you-can’ basis and Koha donations are invited at the end of the performance. Seating is limited so get there early to get a good spot and take advantage of happy hour from 5pm – 7pm and tasty Taco Tuesday!

Read by Liam Dixon, Angela Frank, Charlotte Morris, Ian Stabler, Simone Walker and Jen Wicks.
Running time approx. 90 minutes

Presented by: Big Picture Minor Deets by arrangement with Playmarket.
