Just in time for the election, PLAY ON presents a non-PC political take on a classic fairy tale – packed with plenty of laughs and just the thing to get you primed for voting (or marvelling at the ridiculousness of politics!).

Play On is a play reading series of New Zealand work presented by local performers.

Little Red Riding Hood is on her way to visit her Grandmother in the forest, to deliver her weekly supply of Paul Henry Show DVDs. However, on her journey she encounters first a National Party activist who wants to change her name from Red to Blue, a Woodcutter who has gender issues and a wolf (or man in wolf’s clothing) who could possibly be the sitting MP for Northland. She then meets the Fracker siblings who are determined to find oil under the forest and mine it.

Entry by koha.
Running time approx. 50 minutes.

Presented by: Big Picture Minor Deets by arrangement with Playmarket
