This illustrated talk will consider the various Zealandian dinosaur fossils that have been found.

So far, only four dinosaur fossil localities are known from New Zealand, the main one being the famous Joan Wiffen site in the Te Hoe River, inland Hawkes Bay. Most importantly, this talk will address fundamental questions: how to find dinosaur fossils and where to look for them.

There are plenty of potential to find dinosaurs in New Zealand... Time to get cracking!

Presented by Hamish Campbell, a Wellington-based palaeontologist. He is a senior scientist with GNS Science and is also the geologist at Te Papa.
