One organisation’s efforts to influence the aspirations of some young people living with some big issues, and in so doing break the cycle. Their battles. Their stories. Their bad jokes. Can this story of hope and determination change the hearts and minds of government decision makers? This is a documentary about what it means to care for all people in a community and why we should.

YMCA Christchurch embarked on a project in 2016 to take a group of vulnerable young people on a trip to Nepal. The work that was done readying those young people for the journey and what happened during the trip and since, is a story of determination and resilience, as well as an effort by the YMCA to shine a light on some important issues facing New Zealand today. This documentary would not have been possible without the support of many generous people, and prior to the film being released to the general public, we are inviting those people (YMCA staff, volunteers, stakeholders and donors) to see it first at a one-off free private screening.

Please book early to secure your seats.

Please note this documentary is exempt from classification but we advise it is not appropriate for children under 14 years old. Contains bad language, fighting, drug use.
