A panel discussion marking the 30th anniversary of New Zealand’s nuclear-free legislation.

Chaired by Cr Phil Clearwater the panel includes two people involved in securing the ground-breaking legislation in 1987 and a youth representative. Dr Kate Dewes was also a pioneer of the World Court Project and a member of the Public Advisory Committee on Disarmament and Arms Control (PACDAC).

Graham Kelly was a Labour MP and heavily involved in campaigns for a nuclear-free New Zealand. Natasha Barnes is a member of PACDAC and founder of the International Network for Emerging Nuclear Specialists.

This event will begin with the ringing of the World Peace Bell in Christchurch Botanic Gardens at 5pm (north side of Woodlands Bridge ) followed by a procession with banners to the Museum for 5:30pm start. Book your seat on our website or call 366 9429 x 817.
