Leigh Hart - MC.
Comedian, Hauraki DJ, TV Personality.
We all know Leigh from the Sportscafe and Leigh Hart’s Mysterious Planet. He’s also the husky voice of Radio Hauraki, a regular columnist for the Sunday Herald, and champion of his own production company. He’s led a fascinating life – childhood in the Andes, tunneling the English Channel, touring with his own rock band, and even a little time spent in a French prison. We couldn’t think of a more entertaining guy to host our Breakfast. It’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun, that’s for sure!
John Mayhew - Doctor, formerly to the All Blacks & Warriors.
In April 2016, John suffered a cardiac arrest after completing a Crossfit gym workout. He survived thanks to an off-duty police officer who recognised the signs and started cardiac massage while someone got a defibrillator. “I’ve been to the Pearly Gates, had a look and decided I’m better off back at work.” Come hear his story.
Phil Gifford - Author, Broadcaster.
Phil Gifford has won nine New Zealand and two Australasian radio awards have twice been judged New Zealand sportswriter of the year, and three times New Zealand sports columnist of the year. Phil’s launching his latest book ‘Nuts & Bolts; A Kiwi Health MANual’ at our Breakfast, right in time for Men’s Health Month. We might even have a have a few copies to give away.
Richie Hardcore - Radio Host, Martial Arts, Social Activist.
If asked for his life motto, Richie Hardcore would be likely to point you towards one of the many tattoos on his arm: “PMA till I’m DOA.” It’s the title of a hardcore song, but the idea behind the acronym, Positive Mental Attitude, is the approach that Richie uses to tackle all aspects of his life, and hopes to instill the same attitude in people he comes across on a daily basis.
