In this weekend immersion, we will do Guinea style West African Dance with the best. We will dance, sing and and learn dun dun dances where we get to drum and dance at the same time! Naby has a fun and generous teaching style, wear comfortable clothes you can move and stretch in, bring a water bottle, and come ready to have fun. About Naby: Naby Bangoura learned traditional West African Dance during village ceremonies and celebrations in Guinea, West Africa. At the young age of 15, Naby started dancing professionally with Les Merveilles de Guinee, founded by the late world-renowned dance choreographer and artistic director Kemoko Sano. In 1998, Les Merveilles brought him to perform in major venues throughout the United States. Known for his energetic and fluid dance style and soaring spirit, master dance teacher Naby Bangoura has been performing and teaching high energy West African dance in dance studios and workshops all over the United States, Japan, Australia and Guinea. He is currently living in Berkeley and teaching West African dance at the University of San Francisco.
