Alexander Turnbull Library Family History Monthly Talk for May.

For our contribution to NZ Music Month, Keith McEwing will look at the records of institutions such as the Wellington Orchestral Society (formed in 1879) to see what information they may give us about their members. He will also explore the Turnbull’s Photograph and Ephemera collections to discover what gems can be found in unexpected places.

Although Keith will be focussing on material relating to musicians, the collections, tools and techniques he uses can also be applied to people’s involvement in other activities, and will be of assistance to new and experienced family historians.

Keith McEwing is the Assistant Music Curator at the Alexander Turnbull Library.
