’Off the Grid’ will run from 12th to 21st May 2017.

Building on our previous success we will once again stage a major art event incorporating the work of over 50 local artists, with open studios and a comprehensive group exhibition at the Muriwai Surf Lifesaving Club and Community Hub. Among our many contributors are numerous well-known, internationally renowned artists who’ll be submitting all-original works across a variety of media (photography, painting, ceramics, carving, jewellery, sculpture, weaving and more).

All works will be for sale and entry is by gold coin donation. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to see some sensational new art, Auckland’s west coast at its best, and these talented locals in their element, at the Muriwai Arts Trail 2017.

During the weekends (13th-14th and 20th-21st May) selected artists will also open their home studios to the public, giving visitors the opportunity to view workspaces, hear about the inspiration behind the creations and discover techniques.

Entry is free (gold coin donation appreciated). Works will be for sale, full payment on the day, and pick up of artwork between 4–6pm on the last Sunday. Payment by cash, EFTPOS or credit card (Visa and Mastercard only).
