Eastside Gallery presents "Metamorph", an exhibition of contemporary art by Paige Officer and Damian Holt.
Paige is a self-taught 28-year-old emerging artist based in Christchurch. Paige has two predominant themes running through her work. The first gleans on her personal journey and reflects a fantastical approach to her work. The second theme is her love of all things equine. Paige's preferred medium is oil on canvas and she has been creating art for as long as she can remember.
Damian is also an emerging, self-taught artist based in Christchurch. He is a 55-year-old who started creating art in 2002. Damian's preferred medium is acrylic on 6mm MDF custom wood. His work features several themes including classical Central Otago/NZ landscape scenes reproduced from his personal photographs. He also likes to introduce his quirky humour, blended with a touch of controversy, to his work.
"Metamorph" runs between May 29th - June 10th and will be open on Queen's Birthday Saturday and Monday (between noon and 3pm). There will be a “Meet The Artists” evening on Saturday June 3rd 5:30 – 7pm all welcome.
