A Rotorua "NZ Music Month" community "marimba music making" workshop, to encourage the playing of marimbas (essentially a wooden xylophone played by up to 3 people at a time.)

Dr Neil Bruce, the workshop's facilitator believes “music keeps me young" and says marimbas are wonderful instruments which provide the potential for people of all ages, and range of musical experience, including non-musicians, to successfully play music together.

This Hands-on workshop is aimed at adults, however secondary school students are welcome too. No previous experience is needed, in this fun and supportive workshop environment.

So we would love to have you join us if you are:
- Marimba musicians, music teachers, or musicians who want to extend your musical experience.
- Those who have never played a musical instrument and who want to give it a go.
- Those who want to just try something different and fun.

Bookings are essential.
To book and for enquiries phone Jill 07 3620888 or contact: travellingtuatara@gmail.com.
