Mavis Mullins, 2017 Inductee NZ Business Hall of Fame is our guest speaker for our first 2017 event. Come at 6:30pm for a complimentary drink and nibbles. Cash bar available.

Wife, mother, grandmother, friend, farmer, wool classer, entrepreneur, trustee, director, negotiator, mentor, chief cook and bottle washer is how we would describe Mavis!

Born on tipuna land in Dannevirke, and raised in the shearing sheds of the East Coast and with husband Koro, they farm 275 dairy cows on that same land. They have 4 adult children and 14 precious mokopuna.

The things that fill her life at the moment include chair of Atihau Whanganui Inc, 200,000 stock units under the shadow of Koro Ruapehu; chair of Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre where real learning happens on real farms; chair of Poutama Trust where investment is made to support Maori economic development in the SME sector. Being Patron of AWDT, facilitating rural women in their personal leadership development; and chair of the Rangitane PSGE Rangitane Tu Mai Ra.

Past directorships include 2degreesmobile, Landcorp Farming and Massey University. Mavis felt privileged to sit on the crown appointed Independent Taskforce for Health and Safety in the Workplace - “creating work for people is great, making sure they get every night is even better.” Other awards have included 2016 Woman of Influence Rural and 2017 Massey Distinguished Alumni Award.
But most important always is family. Tihei mauriora.

RBN is proudly supported by ANZ, DairyNZ and RMPP.
