Do you love collecting badges, special postcards, movie tickets or posters? These things are all examples of ephemera. Ephemera are things that are made to be useful for only a short time. They can give us information or they can help us in some way (think of a bus ticket, a menu or a Christmas card).

Explore the exhibition Humble: the life of 100 small objects and make some of your own ephemera — maybe a poster advertising ‘Nuclear Free New Zealand’, a concert ticket for your favourite band or a greeting card!

Bring your own collection of special ephemera to show and tell if you would like.

Events for Humble: the life of 100 small objects, an exhibition showcasing part of the Library’s treasured Ephemera Collection. The events will focus on the design and production of ephemera and its uses for researchers today.
