As it’s July 4, Tuesday's programme is an all-American set:
High Society, Royal Garden Blues, Tin Roof Blues, Take the A Train, Stray Cat Strut, Over the Rainbow, Candy Lips, Royal Flush, Things, Fun Fun Fun, The Saints.

City Jazz is a great Wellington band that plays a mixture of feel-good Dixie and Swing, with a few surprises thrown in.

The band formed in 2000 and is a regular fixture on the Wellington scene. The band also plays further afield including Napier’s famous Art Deco weekend every February.

The band’s line-up is:
Mike Bain (clarinets and saxes), Arthur Grimes (saxes), Grant Hannis (trumpet and vocals), Steve Holt (trombone), Don Franks (piano), Mike Hoy (bass), Kevin Abbott (guitar), Don Mander (drums)

City Jazz’s CDs, “Dixie and Swing” and “Minnie the Moocher”, will be available to buy at the concert: $15 each or $25 for both. Cash only please. Change is available.

Entry is free but your koha is welcomed to defray expenses.
Take your lunch break from work, bring your sandwiches. We hope you enjoy the show!
