This course is designed for absolute beginners and those with an elementary knowledge who want to improve their Korean.

By the end of the course, you will be able to read and write in Hangeul (the Korean alphabet), have a vocabulary of about 500 words, be able to communicate in Korean at a beginner’s level and have some knowledge of Korean history and culture.

Target audience:
This course is suitable for anyone interested in learning the Korean language and its unique writing system and also learning about Korean culture. Those who have had some exposure to Korean language and culture and want to improve their Korean in an organised way would also find the course useful.

Learning objectives:
- By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Read and write Hangeul, the unique Korean alphabet
- Communicate in Korean at a beginner’s level
- Develop knowledge on the Korean culture through language
- Understand elements of Korean society, both contemporary and traditional
