An exploration of sound colours associated with key signatures.

Works by Bach, Beethoven, Eccles, and Ravel.

Due to popular demand, cellist Heleen du Plessis and internationally renowned pianist Terence Dennis will repeat and expand their cello and piano recital where G is the key!

Music’s mystical-moods, colours and character are often associated with key signatures, deriving from a ‘family’ of notes belonging together, forming a specific sound colour or sonority. The recital guarantees maximum colour and passion from both instruments, in works by Bach, Beethoven, Eccles and Ravel, described by music critic Elizabeth Bouman as an “emotionally-charged, thrilling experience for an almost sell-out audience”.

Come share in the exploration of colour sensations and find out if the key of G expresses the tender gratitude for true friendship and faithful love in gems from the cello repertoire in this key!
