Come and hear Jacquie Jarry, Manager Neighbourhood Support on the North Shore, talk about Neighbourhood Support, including how it works, what she does, and how it is helping people feel more safer and secure in the community.

She will also talk about the benefits of belonging to a Neighbourhood Support Group, and how to set one up in your community.

Neighbourhood Support is a hub of local groups, partners and sponsors. Their common purpose is to create safe, and more caring, neighbourhoods and communities. They also act to reduce the incidences and effects of criminal offending, to build community resilience, to strengthen community networks, and to improve people’s quality of life and to enhance people’s wellbeing.

Jacquie is Manager Neighbourhood Support on the North Shore, a position she has held for the last three and a half years. Neighbourhood Support North Shore was established in 1993, and is based in the Browns Bay Community Policing Centre, and covers Auckland’s North Shore from the Harbour Bridge to Okura, Pare & Greenhithe areas.

Join us for morning tea and biscuits from 10:30am for what looks like a very interesting talk, with the talk beginning at 10:45am. Everyone is welcome.
