Mel Abbott is an acclaimed mind-body trainer who is getting around 90% recovery rates from over 250 different chronic health conditions. Now, she's coming to Dunedin!

Mel has previously held 2.5-hour intro seminars and was astounded by the recovery stories that people sent to her! Some people made full recoveries and no longer needed to do the 3-day course. Others experienced huge improvements, which made their time on the waiting list far more tolerable and added to their excitement and readiness for the 3-day course.

Given the huge success of this seminar, Mel is now taking it to Dunedin (and Christchurch). Bookings are essential to attend the event. Tickets are $180 but if you then go on to do the three-day course, you will get a $100 discount for that course.

Here is one man's story from the previous 2.5-hour seminar:

"My body shut down from stress and exhaustion and I ended up in the hospital for some time and then went on to have 9 months off work. I couldn't walk to my letterbox and now I'm doing 10k walks a day and losing weight and changing my outlook on life. I'm going back to work full time in Early January.
Through your recommendations from the 2-hour intro seminar, which both my wife and I use every day, and following the information in your emails, I have improved 98% and am a totally different person from the beginning of the year. I won’t need the 3-day course and would like you to take my name off the list and let someone else take my place. Both my wife and I would like to thank you for what you have achieved in getting me back to work and making me a better and happier person. We are telling everyone about Empower Therapies and using me as an example of what can be achieved if you put your mind to it!"

The key principles that she will cover are:

- A trauma, illness or injury can cause your body to get stuck in the stress response, which can lead to a wide range of chronic illnesses. Calming the stress response allows the body to heal.

- Your brain wires up according to how you use it. There are certain patterns that people with chronic illness can get stuck in which can further exacerbate illness. Learning to rewire your neural pathways allows the body to heal.

- Unresolved emotion can get trapped in the body and produce disease. Clearing these emotions can allow the body to heal.

You will also receive an email a week for four weeks after the seminar with further tips and advice for staying on track in your recovery, plus you will receive an audio track of a guided NLP Process to repeat at home. There will also be a break with tea and snacks during the seminar. We will probably finish at about 7.30pm and Mel will be available till 8 pm to talk to people afterwards.

You can visit the website www.empowertherapies.co.nz to find out more about Mel's work and to listen to her latest Radio NZ interview alongside Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr John Dunbar, who is a big supporter of her work. Her TV interviews and many movies of her client's recoveries are also available on her website.
