With a successful career in the corporate world of consumer goods, Nicola Turner has learned far too much about how you behave in the supermarket and what a company can do to make you the ultimate consumer. Somewhat of a contradiction, she is now on a personal quest to live more simply.

Nicola is now a converted minimalist, an aspiring 'zero waster' and a passionate advocate for keeping it real. Nicola uses the magic of the internet and a good yarn to share messages about the power of making small changes to create significant shifts for us and the planet.

Come along to hear Nicola talk about her zero-waste philosophies and journey of going plastic free, including all the tips, hacks and tricks so you can do it too. Hosted in the upstairs function room at ONYX you will also learn how to make a beeswax wrap and get a take-home kit to make your own beeswax wraps using the local Pirongia Hansen Honey beeswax block.

Space is very limited, so everyone needs a ticket. Event is open to Waipa District Council residents only.
