A weekend encampment where experienced craftsman and tutor, Richard Lees will share his Greenwood techniques. The term ‘greenwood’ describes the range of ways in which unseasoned wood can be used. Students will learn - or further, develop current - skills through practice under guidance. Topics covered will include a choice of wood, safe use of tools and equipment and creation of a specific item.

Our tutor is experienced in using traditional techniques to create well-crafted household & artisan items. Students will focus on learning the techniques by creating a specific item - possibly more than one if they are skilled! These are the heritage skills which are so valuable to continue a tradition of artisan makers.

Camp fees are included (bring your encampment!) or day trip options are available. There is space for partners/people who would like to attend the camp but not be woodworking students.

Please get in touch.
