Ticket Information:

A franchise is a business in which the owners (franchisors) sell the rights to their business logo, name and model to third-party retail outlets, owned by independent operators (franchisees).

They’re an extremely common way of doing business – examples of well-known franchise business models include McDonald's, Subway and Columbus Coffee.

Sam runs a successful franchise in Newtown and has also worked for a franchisor so is well-equipped to tell you more about the different stages to investigating and purchasing a franchise and what you need to consider before signing on the dotted line.

Bring pen and paper.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:
- List the benefits and constraints of working under a franchise agreement
- Name the steps to purchasing a franchise system
- Ask the right questions to ensure thorough due diligence is completed
- Negotiate favourable terms before committing to a purchase
