Coming to Dunedin for the first time, catch Fabricate Collective's Caitlin Davey, Lydia Connolly-Hiatt, Cushla Roughan, Rodney Tyrell, and Reece Adams in their collaborative debut contemporary dance work that will intrigue yet satisfy you. These exciting young artists display a fresh show full of raw talent that you will still be talking about months later.

‘…each dancer had moments when they combusted on through to a new dimension in evoking story from dance, owning the space, little wonderful moments when I leaned forward as though I’d seen a shooting star at a fireworks display.’ — The Daily Blog, 2016

We build things from nothing only to tear them down again, continuously creating and destroying. Fabricate is about madness, obsession, the effort to communicate, and an endless power struggle. It constantly shifts from one section to the next, and is always taking turns for the unexpected. It is an emotional and moving work but above all the dancing is gorgeous.

Set to an original score by Caspar Connolly and with Marshall Bull’s beautiful spatial design, you will get up close with this intimate and all-consuming work. We pride ourselves on having beautiful design. Minimalist but striking, it has all been expertly integrated into the performance.

‘Confrontational and intricate”’— Theatreview
‘Urgency, love, fear, angst, nostalgia, it’s all in there… Powerful, earnest, humble... enduring.’ — The Daily Blog
