French composers of the modern age.

Wellington choir Nota Bene is joined by Andrew Joyce, Diedre Irons and Douglas Mews in an exploration of French music from the first half of the 20th century, music that is redolent with sensuality.

Messiaen’s “O sacrum convivium” and the Duruflé Requiem are richly contemplative while the magical world of Debussy and Ravel Chansons sparkle with sensuality and wit. Hear these interleaved with Debussy’s “La plus que lente” and his late masterpiece, the Sonata for Cello and Piano.

Directed by Peter Walls with:
- Diedre Irons, piano.
- Douglas Mews, organ.
- Andrew Joyce, cello.
