  • Electronics course: Arduino Technology: $149.00

Do you want to get hands-on and learn a little bit about Arduino - the latest craze in electronics? Using this cool new technology we will show you how to create your own version of the classic Pong game (one of the earliest arcade games and an electronic table tennis game featuring simple two-dimensional graphics).

Once we have taught you how to create your own Pong game and how to use Arduino, you will find countless ways to use this exciting new technology.

This project is easy to assemble and requires no soldering or prior knowledge of electronics. You will create the game using a bright LED board and an Arduino Nano mounted on a piece of acrylic. You will also learn some basic knowledge about Arduino and what you can do with it.

What is Arduino?
Arduino is an open-source electronic prototyping platform which allows users to create interactive electronic objects. Pong is a simple example of what Arduino can do. Other uses include using Arduino to create a basic line follower robot, LCD and LED displays, calculator, electronic keyboard, security camera, smart lamp, fan controller, lightening detector, talking clock, garage door opener, alarm, bug zapper and light dimmer to name a few examples!

Who is this course suitable for?
This is an ideal project for tinkerers, electronics enthusiasts and hobbyists. It would also suit teenagers and younger children working alongside an adult (please note that children aged younger than 14 will need to be accompanied by an adult).

No previous experience is required but participants must be 14 years or older. All materials, parts and tools are provided.
