Using Science and Reason to do the Most Good We Can.

Effective altruism is a philosophy and social movement that uses evidence and analysis to maximise the positive impact we have on the world, through our donations, time and career.

Catherine Low from Effective Altruism New Zealand will introduce the basic concepts of effective altruism, and we will analyse the effectiveness of some charities to work out the best (and the worst).
