Where does the Muse wait?

Veteran model Miss Anthropy: Hannah Tasker-Poland has embodied the role of a Muse in many forms for many artists and creatives during her life. Dr Sketchy has been a significant platform for that, with the numerous characters Hannah has brought to life to inspire people's creative visions, and her experience in being the focus of this attention.

So what better place to share a peek into the world of her in-development, full-length solo show, working title 'projectMuse', than with the Sketchy family!

Hannah will be portraying one facet of her 'Muse' aesthetic for us, exploring the ideas of both the archetypal feminine muse and the abstract concept of inspiration.

Where does the muse wait when she is not being used? ...

projectMuse is still in the infant stages of development.
2017 will be spent researching and crafting the work and support material, and an excerpt will be performed at The Menagerie Deluxe at The Opera House Wellington, Saturday 2nd September.

Your MC for the evening is Headmistress and long time Dr. Sketchy Auckland MC Lilly Loca, who will entertain you with irreverent banter (she blames the wine) and scandalous stories. Her wingman for the evening in charge of all the technical mumbo-jumbo will be Mark Rous, who will keep the beats (and timing) going all night long.

Strictly R18 due to the night taking place in a bar (aka. The Wine Cellar in SKA - Saint Kevins Arcade in Auckland CBD). We start at 7pm sharp. Please note, we are becoming rather popular and as such, we recommend you come early to ensure a seat! $10.00 cash on the door to feed the model.

Bring your favourite tools: pens, paper, pencils, crayons, glue, cameras and/or finger paint. Dr. Sketchy is open to anyone, regardless of creed, colour and artistic style.

Note: Dr Sketchy is an anti-art movement, focused on making live drawing fun, entertaining and out of the box. No nudity is involved, but an open mind and sense of fun is a must. This is not a burlesque show, but people are welcome to attend to watch goings on if they wish.

Thanks to our awesome patrons of the arts: Arkham City Comics - Auckland, Takapuna Art Supplies, Graphic Brewing and of course our venue The Wine Cellar (Buy yourself a drink. Buy everyone a drink!)
