An original musical by a 17-year-old student with a dream.

If you're looking for an entertaining evening out, with some incredible young singers, some original music, and a story with a message - this is the show for you.

'Don't Cut Me Down' follows the story of a young nymph who moves to the human world, only to have to fight for her life as her forest is threatened by builders. 7 genre-bending theatre songs and an original story have been melded with Emma's own opinions to create a show entertaining for all.
The songs cover two main themes: discrimination and the environment. By using music, Emma makes difficult societal problems approachable and hopes to embolden others to spread their voices.

A talented cast of 6 singer-actors and 3 dancers, all years 9-12 students from Diocesan School for Girls and Dilworth, have brought 'Don't Cut Me Down' to life. Whether or not you want to hear about the problems that inspired the musical, it will be an enjoyable, feel-good performance, with memorable music.
