Dr Luke Barnes will be giving a public lecture in Palmerston North, entitled, “Does Physics point to God?: The Fine-tuning of the Universe.”
Dr Barnes currently resides in Australia, where he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Sydney Institute of Astronomy, based at the University of Sydney. He holds a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Cambridge.
Last year Cambridge University Press published his popular-level book, written with fellow University of Sydney cosmologist, Geraint Lewis, titled “A Fortunate Universe: Life in a Finely-Tuned Cosmos”.
Dr Barnes is a Christian, and has given more than 30 public talks in 2017.
The format for the evening will be a presentation, followed by an opportunity for open-mic Q&A.
