Delvan has won prizes since young age. At age 13, Delvan went on to become the youngest winner of Ronisch Piano Competition.

In 2015, Delvan competed in the Wallace National Junior Piano Competition, taking first prize, and a year later at the age of 16, he went on to become the youngest ever winner of the Wallace National Piano Competition. An active chamber musician, Delvan has also been a member of the winning groups of the National Secondary Schools Chamber Music Competition both in 2013 and 2014. A more recent achievement was winning the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) Chamber Music Competition in Christchurch as a member of the Aurelian Trio. Aurelian will be traveling to the UK in mid-July 2017 to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and give various other concerts around the country.

Delvan has been fortunate to have performed in various master classes with distinguished artists such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Christopher Elton, Boris Giltburg, Jie Chen, Benjamin Hochman, William Fong, Oleg Stepanov, Diedre Irons, Read Gainsford, and Michael Houstoun. He was also accepted to participate in the Curtis Institute of Music’s Young Artist Summer Programs in both 2015 and 2016, which provided opportunities to receive lessons from renowned Curtis faculty and alumni.

In January 2015, Delvan was invited to perform Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor with the APO Summer School Orchestra, and in August 2016 Delvan performed Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini with the Manukau Symphony Orchestra and on the 28th of August 2016, he had his concerto debut in the Auckland Town Hall, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D minor with the Bach Musica.
