Join Urban Yoga senior teacher Shelley McCarten for a two-hour specialty workshop designed to break down the basics of the core and pelvic floor, and help you form a solid foundation for function, strength and mobility from the inside out.

The core function is not just isolated to certain muscle groups such as the abdominals. In this workshop, we will use tools that integrate core training and optimal breathing techniques to reignite your core.

If you find you struggle with back pain, pelvic pain, diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, or if you just feel disconnected from your core due to pregnancy, childbirth or menopause, then this workshop is for you.

You will learn:
- How your core works, and the movement building blocks you can use to build a stronger and more functional you.
- How to find your movement blinds spots to reignite your reflexive core.
- How to efficiently utilise the breath to create strength and length for the pelvic floor, and to optimally engage your core when you need it the most.
- How to use movement and mindfulness practices to make you feel good, embody your unique shape, and to meet you where you are in your body awareness journey.

This special event is limited to a small group of participants to allow for individual attention.
Booking ahead is essential for this popular workshop.

Please note it will be a mixture of discussion and movement. We recommend wearing layers to take off/put back on to stay warm throughout.
