Tangleball, 27 Edinburgh St, Newton

All Ages

  • Free Admission

Registered as a non-profit Incorporated Society, Tangleball Makerspace provides space and tools for people to work on their hobbies.

On Saturday 27 May we throw the doors open and invite people to come in and see if Tangleball can be of use to them.

If there is something you want to make or fix, and you don't know how or don't have the tools, then this could be a solution for you.

At this open day:
Jort will demonstrate how to make stew in a rice cooker. He will be making a vegetarian stew and a non-vegetarian stew - 11:15am.

Sue has been experimenting with fruit preservation using more setting jellies and less sugar. She hopes to do a demonstration at the open day.

Will says he will make a vegan dish for lunch.

Wayne has been learning about the Arduino open-source electronic prototyping platform and he has been working on a solar diverter, which is a device that lets houses with solar panels use all the power they make rather than exporting the power to the grid. He has scheduled 2pm to show what he has done so far.

The photos for this event show people making things at Tangleball and things that were made at Tangleball.

We put a bit of a lunch at lunchtime.
