If you have ever dreamed of starting your own business or already have the wheels in motion, an idea or concept you want to take to market this customised workshop designed those starting out offers a great introduction to the realities of running your own business.

In this 1 day workshop for up to 8 participants, you will create and write a business plan, and receive tools and templates to set you up for long-term success.

Covered in this 1-day planning workshop:
- Business plan and strategy - develop a 90-day strategy and action plan
- Brand Value & Proposition: what makes your product /service special or different
- Market/ Message and Method; positioning your offering or service
- Effective Go To Market strategy: social media & How to create a killer marketing strategy on a shoestring budget
- SWOT and competitive market overview including import and export
- MoneyTalk: Cashflow and Forecasting
- Funding & Grants: How to access NZ small business enterprise funding
- Setting goals for your business (and personal outcomes)

This is an action packed, a full day of motivating, practical and inspirational hands-on planning to help you realise your business idea and take it from concept to reality.

Who is it for:
- Anyone with a great idea starting a brand new business/ existing small business who needs a business plan
- Anyone new to the NZ market considering running or starting a business

Outcomes: You’ll come away with a strategy and action plan for your business that you’ll be able to start working on right away.
We will also touch on Work-Life Balance and Staying Sane!! Being in business is tough and while it can be hugely rewarding it can also be lonely and overwhelming and at times very unpredictable. A good business plan can help ensure positive outcomes when the going gets tough. We explore the realities of life balanced with work in your business.

Your facilitator is Jo. She is an experienced entrepreneur and businesswoman who is passionate, savvy and designed this course because she cares about helping people. She loves working with clever creative entrepreneurs who want to achieve more. More freedom and more control of their lives, combining life and business by doing work they truly love.

The course fee is normally $999 per person this special July school holidays offer is at $495 per person - strictly limited spaces.

What funding is available for small businesses?
NZ government agencies offer a range of support — from mentoring and grants to capability building — to help small businesses succeed. On this course, we explore some funding options that are available to Small Business Enterprises (SME’s)

About Jo: Facilitator of Business Planning for Start-Ups, Creatives & Entrepreneurs:
Jo is a seasoned entrepreneur, businesswoman, trainer, and mentor. She helps small business owners create strategies to help them grow long term successful businesses. An experienced retail entrepreneur, designer and mother of one, her passion is working with clever creative people who want to achieve more. More freedom and be more in control of their lives, combining life and business doing work they truly love.

Internationally experienced with a career spanning nearly 30 years working for global IT giants including HP, Compaq and Microsoft, and a decade as a corporate coach, Jo has trained thousands of high performers all across London, Europe, Australia and NZ helping them reach their goals and achieve success. She has started-up retail businesses in 2 countries and understands the challenges of going out on your own. She applies her experience and learnings- (the good and the bad!) to her clients as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey and helps them to avoid making the common start-up mistakes.
