This program is designed for professionals and business people who have little or no Chinese language knowledge. It focuses on the development of basic Chinese language skills that are particularly relevant for business functions. Please see the details in the course outline.

Course outline:
The whole program includes 5 units as below:
- Unit 1: Building Business Relationships
- Unit 2: At Work
- Unit 3: Daily Activities
- Unit 4: Getting Around
- Unit 5: Business Activities

Unit One: Building Business Relationships

Language skills:
- Chinese pronunciation and writing system
- Greetings and introductions in various business contexts
- Description of self
- Talking about family members and their occupation
- Talking about time

Culture and Business Relations:
-Be familiar with customs and traditions behind intercultural greetings in business context;
- Understand the Chinese ways to address people in business contexts;
- Know dos and don’ts when talking about one’s family;
- Know customs for expressing thanks and apologise formally and informally;

Delivery Method:
Small and interactive workshops with online learning support
