Fresh from their recent win at the New Zealand Brass Band Championships in Wellington, New Zealand’s B-Grade Brass Band Champions, Hamilton City Brass are delighted to bring you an afternoon of truly beautiful music under the baton of Musical Director Glenn Richards.

Sit back amidst the splendour of the cathedral and enjoy the delightfully warm sounds of the hymns and sacred numbers ‘Deep Harmony’; ‘In Perfect Peace’; ‘I Know Thou Art Mine’ and ‘The Fathers Blessing’.

The band has a special treat with the beautiful and exciting ‘La Divinia Comedia’ - a new composition by Dutch composer Hendrik de Boer and the band’s own choice performance at the recent National Contest - this will be only the second time that this piece has been performed in New Zealand! And in contrast, the brass band favourite, Eric Ball’s ‘Resurgam’ - a piece special to this band’s heart.

Solo performances include Emma Cardwell on Baritone with the beautiful ‘The Holy Well’ and Mason Holloway playing ‘Zelda’ on Cornet. See Hamilton’s very own 2017 New Zealand National Band members - just weeks before they tour to Europe to compete in the World Music Contest at Kerkrade in The Netherlands - Mason Elliot on Cornet with ‘Swedish Hymn’ and Sergio Marshall on Tenor Horn with ‘Horn Concerto’.

Note - Cash door sales only (no EFTPOS or credit card facilities available).
