Wassup Northland and New Zealand and the world!

I'm Mike Botur and you'll know me as short story author, performance poet, opinion columnist and freelance journalist. You don't yet know me as a novelist - so on Sunday September 17 at Whangarei Central Library, I'll be reading from 'Moneyland,' a young adult sci-fi dystopian thriller novel.

Behind the performance reading is my campaign on the NZ Arts Foundation crowdfunding website Boosted (https://www.boosted.org.nz/projects/moneyland) . What I'm doing on Boosted is gathering donations to get 'Moneyland' printed for a small, select Northland test market.

Once I have got a bit of excitement going and proved that 16-25 year olds respond well to the novel, I'll be getting a publisher to take over.

Sunday's reading is about gathering donations, entertaining people, and testing the first-ever crowdfunded Northland young adult novel.
