Bob Kerr

For Feilding based students Year 7-10.

Bob Kerr's most recent picture book is Changing Times a graphic novel published by Potton and Burton that looks at New Zealand's history through the pages of a local newspaper. One of his first books, Terry and the Gunrunners, a cult classic from the 1980s, has also been republished with a new television adaptation recently being aired on TV2. Bob was born in Wellington, grew up in Tokoroa and escaped from there to the Elam School of Fine Arts. You can find out more about his work at http://bobkerr.co.nz/.

Bob will be talking about what makes a good story. He will talk about his own work in particular his most recent book Changing Times. He will show the students examples of the original art work and talk about the books that influenced him and encourage students to work stories about their own experience.
