Palmerston North based Black N Blue play blues orientated in the style of Hank Crawford, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, Duke Robillard, Maceo Parker, and others at Hawke's Bay Jazz Club.
The experienced line-up is:
- Johnny McCormick Saxes and Flute (Quincey Conserve, Rodger Fox Big Band, Sounds Unlimited, Soundproof)
- Kevin Downing Guitar guru (various bands in the Manawatu including Snatch)
- Ted Frickleton Drums (Bullfrog Rata and many groups in the Manawatu and Wellington regions)
- Paul Dredge Bass and Vocals (multi instrumentalist, theatrical experience, secondary school music tutor)
- Chilean musician extraordinaire Gino Sanguinetti Keyboards (various bands with James Tait-Jamieson on guitar and percussion.)
