  • Sat and Sunday - includes meal: $30.00
  • Saturday 8th only - includes meal: $15.00
  • Sunday 9th only - the long race – Te Taiawhio o Ipipiri: $25.00
  • Children: $5.00

Waitangi Kaihoe Waka Ama Clubs’ First regatta - We welcome you to a festival of Waka.

This is a 2-day event, with races for all ages - sprints, short distances and a long race. There are races for the novice, intermediate and experienced paddlers. All the races are Waka Ama - and on Sunday while the long race is on there will be demonstrations from traditional waka. Saturday's racing finishes up with prize giving and a meal together.

The base is Waitangi Holiday Park and wakas will be launching from Te Tii Beach Waitangi Bridge end.

Waitangi’s most centrally located Holiday Park in the Bay of Islands. The campgrounds and caravan park is conveniently located a short flat walk along the Te Ti Bay shoreline to Paihia town and is central to all tourist attractions. Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Tii Beach and a boat ramp are adjacent to the Park. The campsite is large and flat, located on the banks of the Waitangi River and perfect for pitching a tent for a spot of camping or for those with a motorhome too, cabins available also.

- Camp Kitchen – Just need to know if you need access and you are not staying the night.
