Auckland: Speaks is a multi-media performance event in which local poets, storytellers, rappers and dancers create original works of art from the voice of their own home. It’s a series of love letters from Auckland to itself.

Imagine if Ponsonby wrote a letter to K’rd or if Rangitoto challenged the Skytower to a rap battle.

Performers will be announced soon; for updates and other cool things check out: https://ourspeakscity.tumblr.com/

This is the second version of Auckland: Speaks created specifically for National Poetry Day and in partnership with the Central City Library.
