The poetry troupe Theoradical Hobohemians are performing their fourth show at the new and gorgeous Shanghai Lil's bar on National Poetry Day.

(Next door to Krd's iconic Las Vegas Club)

"An Interview with Mary Shelley" is an interactive theatre-poetry experience where we go back in time to the radical Romantic period of Lord Byron, Percy and Mary Shelley. A one act play features the Mary Shelley, who wrote the Gothic smash hit "Frankenstein". She was a feminist, philosopher, radical social commentator, mother and published writer by eighteen.

A Gothic Poetry open mic will follow after the mini play. A panel led by Byron, Percy and Mary, will be on hand to discuss the performances. Recite the poems of the Romantics or bring your original work. The winner receives a signed copy of Frankenstein. Period costume optional but moustaches and eccentric hats are essential.

Shanghai Lil's cocktail concoction for this show, served between 7-8pm is "The Wench". Jazz band starts at 9pm. The poetry show and jazz are both free, a great affordable winter's night out.

See you there!
