What's a Hackathon? AgTech Hackathon: Manawatu

Connecting smart farmers with smarter on-farm solutions.

AgTech Hackathon will enable our farming community to present everyday on-farm opportunities and challenges to technology experts, who can then creatively solve these problems drawing on their hardware and software programming skills.

Teams will begin work on Saturday 11th March and continue to work throughout the New Zealand AgriFood Investment Week (13th-18th March) to develop hardware or software based solutions that will then be presented in a final pitch ceremony on Friday 16th March, at Central Districts Field Days.

Do you have what it takes to creatively solve on-farm problems?
- We need technology experts with hardware and software programming skills
- We need leaders who have marketing and business experience
- We need young, creative, and innovative thinkers
- We need experienced rural professionals with an understanding of the market

So what's in it for you?
- Work with Microsoft professionals
- Connect with like-minded people
- Test your skills with the best in the business
- Have the potential to create businesses and products that could end up in market helping farmers work more efficiently all around the world

Want to find out more? Attend our information evening hosted by Microsoft professionals and the team at BCC.

The AgTech Hackathon was collaboratively founded by Microsoft, BCC, Manawatu-Rangitikei Federated Farmers, Accelerate 25, Future Institutes, Massey University and New Zealand AgriFood Investment Week.
