Wheel Blacks

New Zealand Wheelchair Rugby is proud to be hosting the Asia Oceania Wheelchair Rugby Championship.

New Zealand Wheel Blacks, Australia, Japan and Korea will bust out the best of their country, for teams to compete for a placing in next years World Wheelchair Rugby Championship.

In 1977 a Canadian group created the alternative wheelchair sport that allowed contact and equal participation of players with reduced arm and leg function. From beginnings in the community to international world competition, NZ Wheelchair Rugby has bought the international zonal event to your community.

NZ Wheelchair Rugby acknowledge and thank the support from Drake Medox, First Sovereign, Brian Perry Charitable Trust, local businesses and our committed volunteers who contribute to our sport, allowing NZ Wheelchair Rugby to host this international zonal championship.
