We rely on internet technology in all aspects of our lives: social communication, news and research, banking, business processes, the storage of vital information, and much more.

There are huge benefits from using the internet, but the increased exposure also creates increased vulnerabilities. This is why cyber safety is increasingly important to everyone, for protecting both your privacy and property. During October Hutt City Libraries is hosting a series of talks and workshops all about cyber safety.

What is Cyber and Why Should I Care? (Presented by Lisa Turner, Total Risk Management).

Geographically New Zealand is safe on the edge of the world, but electronically we’re instantly connected to everyone, from the USA to China. Is New Zealand really under threat of a cyber attack? Find out what is threatening New Zealand in the cyber world and why we should care.
