New to the series this year is the Trilogy Ultra 100km.

Te Aroha to Thames via Waihi and the historic Karangahake Windows walk. Two start times available 11pm on Saturday 17th or 1am on Sunday 18th September. These are based on your estimated completion time. A brief description of the route follows:

Race start is at the historic Te Aroha Rail Station and begins with a loop around Te Aroha Wetlands before returning to the Rail Station and following the Hauraki Rail Trail (HRT) to Paeroa. From Paeroa you will head to Waihi again on the HRT where you will turn at the Goldfields Railway Station and return as far as the Karangahake tunnel.

From here you follow the Ohinemuri River, branching off to follow the historic Windows walkway which re-joins the HRT at Crown Hill Road and back to Paeroa. The final leg goes through Paeroa town and onto Thames. Start timings have been chosen so that on this last leg you will have the company of the competitors in the Paeroa to Thames race who will be starting from 7:30am onwards. Prize-giving is at 1pm.

A minimum amount of competitors is required to ensure this event goes ahead so register by Aug 31st.
Distance break down:
- TeAroha Wetland Loop - 3.5km
- TeAroha to Paeroa - 20.2km
- Paeroa to Waihi - 21.6km
- Waihi to Paeroa (via Windows) - 23.7km
