Discover the Ahuriri Estuary with Toyota Kiwi Guardians during Conservation Week and earn a special Conservation Week Explorer medal.

The Toyota Kiwi Guardians is a whanau friendly activity aimed at 6 - 10-year-olds. It takes you on an adventure trip around the Ahuriri Estuary walking track looking for the Guardian Post track on which there is a special code word. Write it down and on completion of your adventure, log on to the Kiwi Guardian website, tell us the code word and earn a special Conservation Week - Kiwi Guardian Explorer medal which will come to you in the post. Put the medal on your backpack or pencil case and show everyone the adventure you've had.

Download your Toyota Kiwi Guardian Ahuriri Estuary adventure map and bring it with you on the day or collect one at the Department of Conservation's stand at the Humber Street Reserve, Pandora Pond entrance to the Ahuriri Estuary walking track.

This event is part of Conservation Week 2016.

Go to the website and check out other events being held during Conservation Week. Look for other Toyota Kiwi Guardian sites in Hawke's Bay or other places in New Zealand to visit in the future.
